The 2024 European Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships will take place from 6th-11th December at Hotel Continental Skopje, North Macedonia.
European Rapid Chess Championship 2024 will be the first on the schedule, taking place on 7th and 8th of December. The Championship will be played according to the Swiss system, in 11 rounds with the time control 15 minutes game + 10 seconds per move starting from the first move.
The European Blitz Chess Championship 2024 will be played on 9th of December, with 13 rounds, swiss system, and time control of 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment for each move, starting from the move one.
The European Individual Fisher Random (chess 960) Chess Championship will be held on 10th of December and will be played according to the Swiss system, in 11 rounds with the time control 10 minutes game + 5 seconds per move starting from the move one.
The Championship is open to all players representing Chess Federations which are ECU members (FIDE zones 1.1. to 1.10), regardless of their title and rating. There is no limit to the number of participants per federation.
