The 24th edition of the European Women’s Chess Championship 2024 was held from 18 (arrival) to 30 April (departure) 2024, in the 5***** “Rodos Palace” Conference Hotel in Rhodes, Greece. The Championship was played according to the Swiss System, 10 rounds. The rate of play was 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds for every move starting from move 1. The European Individual Women’s Chess Championship 2024 is a qualification event for the FIDE Women’s World Cup. According to the decision of the European Chess Union, at least 10 players will qualify*. The total prize fund of the Championship was 60.000 EUR with 10.000 EUR reserved for the Winner of the event.
